IIMS is an activity based, self learning institution. Intellectual inputs are more than any conventional MBA programme. Participation in all of the institute activities is must. No exemption is allowed on any ground as all processes are integral part of the PG programme. Students have absolute freedom to express their talents, ask for help to overcome weaknesses, assert, debate and disagree, for improvement of the systems and learning opportunities. But exemptions from processes are not possible.

IIMS is a learning organization that thrives on innovation, scholarship and workmanship. Therefore, rapid change for the good is an ongoing process . We prepare students to face challenges of the corporate world. Periodic open house sessions are held with the Director and staff for direct interaction with students.

The institute values great importance to integrity, honesty and discipline. A sense of responsibility and a high degree of maturity are expected from all students inside or outside the campus as befit future managers.

If any student indulges in behaviour against the norms of discipline (including attendance, punctuality, attentive listening, decent behaviour etc.) the faculty concerned will counsel the student suitably. The faculty will also be free to adopt suitable measures to regulate attendance, maintain discipline and ensure smooth and undisturbed learning in the class.

Attendance in workshops, corporate and other lectures and institute-sponsored other activities is compulsory. Absence will not be tolerated.

Any student penalized more than twice in whatever form, may be asked to withdraw from the institute.

Any student found indulging in ragging / in any activity contrary to rules of discipline will be liable to be expelled from the institute. Please also note that a student is liable for punishment against ragging / any activity contrary to rules of discipline as per the Bihar State Act on Prohibiting Ragging in an educational institute.

Mentoring and Career Counseling

Every student of IIMS will be assigned to G G T (Guide, Guardian cum Tutor) who will assist and guide the student in career planning, progress monitoring and problem solving related to the programme.

The institute attaches great importance to the need for the process of mentoring and suitable guidelines will be published separately.

The Management of the International institute of Management Studies reserves the right to change policies, systems and procedures, requirements for admissions , programme course structure, faculty mix, regulation affecting students or any other suitable modifications, should these be deemed necessary in the interest of the profession and the institute.
